Come along and meet us and hopefully join we are actively Seeking new members, all welcome. Our current members range from 18-92, come along and see what we are all about. We would also love to hear from anyone who would like to join our PAT testing volunteers.
Reminder to the community too:
We operate a “Repair Café” for the community for furniture & domestic appliances. So, bring your items in and have a drink while we see if we can safely & affordably mend things for you, usually for a small donation. For examples see our facebook page.
Do you want to have fun, do something worthwhile by helping make and mend things, meet new people and make new friends? Well, join us then! As well as making things we drink tea & coffee, chat and have fun in a warm, safe, and friendly setting.
Members can make or mend things for themselves and we will make things to sell, mend items and undertake projects for customers to help pay for the running costs of the Shed. Members can just come and enjoy good company; practical working is optional.
No prior knowledge or skill are required. Members can be taught how to use hand & power tools and machinery safely and skilfully.
All tools & PPE will be provided, as well as materials and consumables (e.g. woodscrews, nails, glue, etc).
If anyone has any plums they can donate and bring along to our meet would be much appreciated to support a colleagues raising charity for Air Ambulance and Hillside Animal Sanctuary.
Tea & coffee will be available, but you will need to bring a packed lunch if you want to stay for the whole session.
