Create a custom portrait of your beloved animal companion in the Paint Your Pet Workshop with artist/instructor Finn Erickson!
Participants will need to send a photo of their pet to SMAC at
aW5mbyB8IHNtYWMtYXJ0ICEgb3Jn no later than 24 hours prior to class. Finn will enlarge the photo and transfer the outline of the pet onto an 8”x10” canvas, ready to paint at the workshop. Only one animal per canvas is permitted. Participants are encouraged to bring a printed photo of their pet for reference.
With the pet’s outline already on the canvas, success with this painting is achievable even for a beginner! The class is also fun for intermediate and advanced artists, too! During the class, students will follow guided techniques plus use their own artistic expression to create a truly unique piece of art.
All supplies and materials are included in the fee of $40.
Age 12 to adult. Younger children may take the workshop if accompanied by an adult.

Finn Erickson is an artist whose works are largely inspired by the connections between humans and the natural world, identity, and their own lived experience. They draw influence from mythology, psychology, and glimmers of everyday moments. While their focus is in acrylic painting at this point, they have a lot of joy for both traditional and digital illustration and enjoy exploring other mediums and techniques.
