Firecracker 5 K Run/Walk (honoring the memory of Pvt Sterling "Butch" Rahe

To honor the memory of Toledo/Springfield Township Fire Department hero Butch Rahe who left us too soon in January 2024 Springfield Township is please to host the inaugural Firecracker 5K run/walk to kick off a day of celebration throughout the greater Springfield Township community. First the 5K at Homecoming Park which includes the entertaining HERO hustle all starting at 9am; the Village Market at Strawberry Acres Park from 10-4 featuring artisans food trucks Pickleball demonstrations and more; the exclamation will be hosting the annual Freedom Celebration and fireworks back at Homecoming Park beginning at 5p (family-oriented activities firetruck rides food trucks and of course - one of the region's top fireworks displays)!!
