BIBA's June Monthly Meeting

This month we will be conducting a HYBRID meeting format. Both online and in person at the Kamana Senior Center in Hilo (127 Kamana Dr., Hilo HI 96720). Presentation will begin at 6:30PM Hawaii time. (Link goes live & Doors at Kamana will open at 6PM, potluck from 6-6:30PM). Business meeting to follow the presentation.

This month we will be hosting Carey Yost, partner beekeeper of Jim & Careyʻs Happy Bees apiary and WAS Regional Director for Hawaii! Carey will be presenting about how bees choose honey sources, the variation in the Puna region, why sources matter and how to verify them and some honey test results they had conducted! There will also be a mention of an upcoming grant to look at the chemical/physical properties of honeys around Hawai`i Island!
