Putting the Garden to bed

Fall is a great time to prepare for winter and set up your garden for success year-round. OSU Extension Master Gardeners will share tips for landscape plants and discuss best practices for planting trees and shrubs, tasks to prepare the vegetable and fruit garden for winter, and techniques to protect the soil.

After the class portion, will visit the WCMGA Ed Garden for a demo of tips dicussed, including proper planting techniques. Then visit the PCC Rock Creek vegetable and fruit garden to discuss techniques to prepare for winter.

Meets at Portland Community College - Rock Creek, Building 4, Rm 103.
