KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dan Acosta

Dan Acosta was a Senior Airman with the 775th Civil Engineer Squadron’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight at Hill. While deployed in Iraq SrA Acosta was seriously injured by a hidden IED while working a separate IED outside Baghdad in late 2005 that resulted in the amputation of his arm and other injuries. Despite being given a shred of a chance of surviving the medevac flight, Dan fought back and has gone on to live an amazing life since.
