Make a splash in the Wye with Ranger Steph and learn about our precious chalk streams
Lead Ranger: Steph Rodgers Mobile: 07734 389301
Transport and Address:
Please meet us at 1:30pm at our depot on Fennels Road, postcode HP11 1SL, to don waders before heading to the river! Please arrive promptly to ensure we get as much time exploring the river as possible. Paid parking is available beside the depot and free parking is available at the car park at the opposite end of Kingsmead Recreational Ground.
The Walk: This is walk with a difference! We all enjoy a stroll along the banks of the river, but how often do people get the opportunity to exerience our river from a completely different persepctive...... in it! We will stay local and enter the river from Kingsmead Rec and have a look for fish, aquatic plants, invertebrates and more!
What to Bring:
Wear clothing suitable for the weather and sturdy footwear. Although we hope that all of our waders are waterproof, we occasionally find that they have sprung a leak! So maybe bring spare socks and trousers.....
We will provide waders.
Volunteering and COVID-19:
Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
