🎉 JOIN US AND OUR FRIENDS OF INDIVISIBLE CITIZENS OF CATAWBA VALLEY (ICCV) FOR A JULY 4TH MARCH WITH MEANING! 🎉
March Against Fear: Stronger Together
📅 Friday, July 4
⏰ 9:00 AM
📍 St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 629 8th St NE, Hickory, NC 28601
Start your Independence Day standing up for ALL of us! Join Indivisible Citizens of Catawba Valley, local educators, healthcare workers, LGBTQ+ neighbors, Latinos, artists, and residents from every corner of our community as we march together in celebration of hope, courage, and unity.
🖐️ Bring a sign that shows the world who YOU are and what YOU believe in.
A few ideas:
“I am a gay man entitled to equal rights and justice”
“I am a profiled woman of color”
“I am a legal immigrant. Hands off, ICE”
“I am a senior citizen dependent on Social Security and Medicare. Hands off”
“I am a white male. I have your back”
“I am an unappreciated teacher”
“I am a taxpayer. Bezos? Musk? Trump? Zuckerberg? Buffet? Gates?”
🎶 There will be music, a kazoo-powered National Anthem, and good trouble to be made. (Yes — dozens of kazoos. It’s happening.)
📣 Hear from local leaders at St. Andrew’s and on the City Hall steps.
🚐 We’re working on courtesy shuttles for those who might need a ride back after the march.
💪 Come as you are, march for what matters, and help remind this town: we are stronger together.
Mark your calendar, grab your friends, and join the movement!
