Barnyard & Beyond: Animal Care Start-Up Workshop

Join us for Barnyard and Beyond, a beginner-friendly animal start-up care workshop on November 16th from 1–3 PM at the Linn County Extension Office. From hooves to paws, care starts here! Learn about livestock and more by picking two species to explore, including beef cattle, swine, sheep/goat, dairy cattle, horse, rabbit/cavy, dog, cat/pets, and poultry. Discover the basics of equipment needs, start-up care, and simple animal handling tips. Picking swine counts toward the Swine Premiere Exhibitor Award and beef counts toward the All-Around Beef Exhibitor Award. This is an interest workshop, so no showing experience is needed—just come ready to learn and have fun!
