Science Week Sunday!

At the Hunter Wetlands Centre, we're getting into the National Science Week with tons of HANDS-ON activities for kids to explore, learn about and understand the natural world. 🔬🧫🧪🌿

WHAT's ON Science Week Sunday 10th August 2025

🪳10.00-12.00 - Dipnetting! - Grab a net and let's explore what's under the water in our ponds with former Science Teacher turned Wetlands Guide, Catherine! (Free with Entry)

🐦10.30am - Magpie Geese Feeding Talk! - Meet Pi and Friends when you feed the Magpie Geese with Michele.

🦎11.00am - Reptile Encounter - Get hands on with our scaly and slippery friends from the Animal House at our popular Reptile Encounter! ($5pp plus Entry)

🔎11.30am - Kids Walking Safari - Bring your binoculars or magnifying glass as we join our guide on a short safari around the grounds. (Free with Entry)

🧭 Kids can also discover nature for themselves with our Self-Guided Walking Trail, Scavenger Hunts, Canoeing, Animal House and Playgrounds

We're open from 9.30am-4.00pm so make a day of it and bring a picnic or eat at our Wetands Cafe.
