Hewitt Public Library Presents Jason Platt

Jason Platt, author and illustrator of middle-grade graphic novels MIDDLE SCHOOL MISADVENTURES, shares his journey from being a kid who loved reading and drawing comics to becoming a professional illustrator/author. Showing examples of his early influences, Jason shares what his own art looked like when he was young.

In addition to showing the process of how Jason creates his books, he also goes through a demo on how kids can create their own graphic stories. This exercise is encouraging to anyone at any artistic level! His demonstration helps encourage kids to read, but it also encourages them to create their own stories.

After the presentation, join Jason for a meet-and-greet signing event at the Hewitt Public Library (200 Patriot Court) at 5:30 PM!
