Mindfulness Greenhouse Walk
Date: Wednesday, June 25, 6:30-7:30 pm
Location: Mill Creek Gardens - 8839 Mill Creek Drive, Marshfield, Wisconsin
Cost: $5/person
Join us for a grounding + guided exercise of being present + at peace, all while surrounded by lush plants in the greenhouse! This is a great way to reconnect with yourself in the middle of the cold winter months.
This is an amazing opportunity to practice several mental health skills all at once! Our mindfulness walk will include:
* A guided mindfulness exercise that will engage all your senses
* A realistic deep breathing exercise that is scientifically proven to lower stress levels
* A time to practice and refine skills to decrease seasonal depression symptoms
This mindfulness walk will be led by Liz Cravillion, counselor in training, and Carissa Weber, MA, LPC, CSAC, of The Joyful Mind, LLC + she will touch on how plants change our brain + have the potential to improve our mental health. During our time, we will also discuss how to develop healthy coping skills + learn what resources are available in the community for promoting mental wellness.
The cost of the guided exercise is $5/person – reservations required; space is limited. Refreshing drinks + a Mill Creek shopping coupon will be provided to each attendee.
If cost is an issue for you, please reach out to Mill Creek as scholarships are available.
