Tea and Tisanes and The Farmer's Daughter are partnering on June 21, 2025, to provide a tea party-based quilting class using Foundation Paper Piecing!
Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP), not to be confused with English Paper Piecing (EPP), is a machine quilting technique that uses a removable paper foundation to guide fabric placement and seam alignment during piecing. This method allows for precise and accurate piecing of intricate designs, especially those with small or unusual shapes. The paper is removed after the quilt block is completed, leaving behind a neatly sewn block.
In this class, we will be making a sweet tea cup block-- which can be used as a stand-alone block and turned into a pot holder, mug rug, or mini quilt, or as the first block in an entire quilt full of tea cups. The block can also be paired with a matching tea pot block (which may be completed in a future class).
$25 for the class (includes paper pattern for both the tea cup and tea pot blocks).
Class size is limited, so please register ASAP. $10 registration fee (to cover the cost of the pattern); non-refundable. Remaining $15 is due at the time of the class.
Supply list attached below in comments; all supplies are necessary for completing the quilt block. Supply kits (including fabrics) are available for purchase upon request. All attendees are required to purchase the quilt block pattern.
