🌤🌎🌳National Public Lands Day is on September 27, and we’re gearing up for another year of celebrating and caring for our nation’s public lands! 🌳
This year’s theme is "Our Home Outdoors”. This is a reminder that these lands are not just physical spaces—they are where we come together, feel rooted, and develop a sense of place.
Whether it’s your neighborhood park, a nearby state park, or one of our country’s iconic public lands, stewardship is our shared responsibility.
We will be meeting at Anderson Road Day Use on J. Percy Priest Lake. Our goal is to focus on two islands: Bear and Raccoon. They are directly across from the swim beach at the Day Use. We hope to have pontoons to shuttle volunteers to and from the islands. If you have your own vessel or would like to kayak or paddleboard to the islands, please feel free to bring which ever you like.
Registration/Safety briefing will be from 8-9am
9-12pm will be teams with their project leaders at various sites.
Lunch will be provided after the event is over.
Registration opens Aug. 15th and is encouraged- closes the week before the event.
⁉️Any questions, feel free to reach out to our Visitors Center on J Percy Priest Lake at 615-889-1975.
