About the event

Just a Painting of a Man and Some Horses
This lecture is a special presentation done in collaboration with the Erie Canal Museum of Syracuse, NY in celebration of the Tinker Homestead & Farm Museum's 30th Anniversary, as well as the Erie Canal's 200th Anniversary.

Explore what at first looks like a fairly normal painting of a man leading a team of horses pulling a canal boat, that instead reveals a tale of political corruption and the waning days of the towpath era canal.
