October 19 Tuckahoe Creek Park. Join wild and crazy birders Diane Jadlowski and Alan Wingfield for the second of four monthly “drop in” bird watching events at ever-favorite Tuckahoe Creek Park 7:30 to 11:00 am. They will be set up on the boardwalk observation deck keeping track of all the birds identified by sight or sound. Fall migration will be underway—who knows what might happen by? Loaner binoculars, and help learning to use them, will be available. A spotting scope will be set up, and a list of observations posted. Stop by for as long or short as you please. This event is particularly suitable for less experienced bird watchers, children, persons with mobility issues, and folks with limited time. The observation deck is about a hundred yards from the Old Coach Entrance to the Park, accessible by paved path and boardwalk. This will be a stationary event, with no further walking required. Dress for the weather, and hats are encouraged as the deck lacks shade. The park lacks toilet facilities and water sources, so plan accordingly. Birding is for everyone! All are welcome!
