OPERATION: CODE RED — Richmond Women’s Basketball vs VCU
Richmond Athletics is launching Operation: Code Red, a campus- and community-wide effort to create a historic “Red Out” crowd for Richmond women’s basketball’s biggest home game of the season.
On Sunday, Jan. 18, the Spiders will take on city rival VCU inside the Robins Center in a nationally televised matchup on CBS Sports Network. The goal of Operation: Code Red is to bring 5,000 fans to the Robins Center, which would mark the largest women’s basketball crowd at Richmond in more than 25 years.
This game also celebrates:
• One of the most successful senior classes in program history
• Richmond’s fiercest women’s basketball rivalry (series tied at 47-47)
• An early celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, presented by CarMax
