About the event

Labyrinth’s – a Quiet Day with Revd Phil Mader-Grayson

Labyrinth Quiet Day.

The day should be a wonderful opportunity to slow down, relax and take a deeper look into your soul with the aid of guided meditations and walking the grounds and the labyrinth. There will be a brief introduction to labyrinths and how we may use them, both in the wide outdoors, like here at Parmoor, and in the quiet of your own sitting room, at home. Of more importance than the labyrinth, which is really just a tool, is the inner journey of our soul. The day will give space for quiet reflection, connection with creation and conversation with fellow travellers. We hope this day will be of assistance to you on your journey with the creator and their creation.

For the Quiet Days, arrival is from 9:30am for a 10:00am start. Lunch is included, along with tea/coffee throughout. The day will end around 4:00pm.

Leader: Revd Phil Mader-Grayson

Rev. Phil Mader-Grayson is a retired Baptist Minister of 30 years ministry with 25 years experience as a spiritual director. His first career was as an RAF officer in both a flying role and later as an Education Officer. For most of his ministry he has been running his home, in rural Oxfordshire, as a retreat and refuge with his second wife, Rosie. They are both companions of the Northumbria Community and their house was recognised as a Community House in 2012.

In 2009 they planted a labyrinth with willow, based on the shape of a Celtic cross, on about an acre of their smallholding land. This became part of the Open Garden Movement.
