Join us every 4th FRIDAY in a premier venue showcasing spacious dance floors, high ceilings, and a vintage vibe. If you are new to Blues/Fusion, come check it out for yourself to experience this improvisational partner dance without standardized patterns but with a very strong partner connection. The deep pulse in the music drives the movement. Connectedness is the focus rather than patterns or footwork.
This month will be ZOUK EDITION with ANYA FARUQUE!
Anya Faruque has been a dance educator for 8 plus years with a background in USA Gymnastics. Her passion for zouk began in 2018 and progressively fell in love with this brazilian art form through training, dancing and ultimately teaching all of it's avenues. Anya's style of teaching empowers the dancer to move from inside out by incorporating emotions, self expression, and learning to access your goddess/god-like state of flow. While she enjoys choreography and has two ladies styling teams, she believes in concepts over patterns, when it comes to social dancing. This creates a platform of building blocks for the dancer to create within.
Anya is incredibly excited to share tips, drills, and elements with your community on how to zouk from basics to fun exercises you can utilize in your own continuous training.
Zouk Workshop: Building the Foundations of Your Dance Body
In this workshop, we’ll explore the science behind body isolations in dance and how to safely and musically integrate them into any dance style. You’ll learn the techniques that allow you to break down and control movements, giving your body more versatility and expression.
No partner is required, though partners are always welcome!

$12 entry, lesson included
Dress is casual
Bring your own beer/wine. Liquor and other beverages above 16% alcohol content are strictly prohibited.
Masks are encouraged but, not required.
