Autumn Theatre Classes for Kids & Teens – Helsinki

This autumn Youth Theatre Helsinki is excited to offer a series of theatre courses for kids and teens aged 10–17. Running twice a week in Helsinki these classes provide a fun supportive and creative environment where young people can explore acting improvisation storytelling and movement.

📅 Schedule:

• Thursdays 15:00–17:00
• Saturdays 11:00–13:00
• First class: Thursday October 23rd

Over the course of the term participants will engage in playful group activities acting exercises and improvisation games that encourage creative thinking collaboration and confidence.

Each session is guided by professional theatre practitioners who help students explore their imagination and develop new performance skills regardless of their previous experience.

Language:

Classes are taught in English with support in Finnish and Swedish making them inclusive and accessible to a diverse group of young people in Helsinki.

Students will learn to express themselves creatively work as part of a team and build confidence both on and off the stage. The focus is on the process of learning and exploring theatre rather than performance alone. We aim to cultivate a love for creative expression encourage curiosity and provide a playful inspiring space for all participants.

We understand that some children may not be able to attend every session and that’s perfectly fine!

— whether your child can join both weekly classes or only Thursdays or Saturdays we will do our best to accommodate them and discuss possible adjustments to the course fee.

No previous theatre experience is required — all that’s needed is a curiosity for storytelling imagination and a willingness to play.
