Music of Royal Occasions

The SNCC is joined by concert organist Aleksanteri Wallius as they explore the grand anthems of the English choral tradition, composed for triumphant, joyful, and solemn occasions in the life of the British monarchy. Regardless of their original purpose, these works are unified by their grandeur and scale, and they represent the finest achievements in the English choral repertoire.

The program includes works by George Fredric Handel, Henry Purcell, William Croft, Edward Elgar, Hubert Parry, Herbert Howells, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Paul Mealor, and James MacMillan.
