A cèilidh (meaning a “visit” in Gaelic) is a traditional Scottish social gathering with lots of folk music, dancing, food, drink, and laughter. The evening’s entertainment includes a performance by the Helsinki Pipes and Drums, and lots of dancing to the music of the Helsinki Ceilidh Band. Don’t worry if you don’t know the dances, our dance caller, James Irving, will explain the steps to all the dances. Just bring yourself along and have a good time!
Dancing is NOT compulsory. Kilts and tartan are very much encouraged, but there is no dress code.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
