This workshop is designed to help you unlock the full potential of your phone’s camera and understand the fundamentals of creating compelling images. Over three days, you’ll learn how to use your phone more creatively and purposefully, practice hands-on shooting techniques, and develop an eye for storytelling through photography.

Understanding Your Phone & the Difference Between Phones and Cameras
• Types of phone cameras and what makes them different
• What makes a good photo? (Lighting – Angle – The Moment)
• Different modes (HDR – Portrait – Night Mode)
• How to hold your phone and adjust the settings
• Simple visual composition (Rule of Thirds – Framing – Balance)
• Capturing the moment & shooting at the right time

• The photo that tells a story
• Choosing an angle, light, and frame that serve the idea
• Play the “Idea × Shot” game
• Divide participants into small groups
• Each group will shoot a simple idea on-site

• Quick recap (Q&A)
• Photography challenge with a specific theme (Color – Emotion – Concept)

• إدراك اللحظة والتصوير في التوقيت الصح

• الصورة اللي بتحكي قصة
• نختار زاوية – ضوء – كادر يخدم الفكرة
• نلعب لعبة “فكرة × لقطة”
• تقسيم المشاركين مجموعات صغيرة
• كل مجموعة تطلع تصور فكرة بسيطة داخل المكان

About the instructor
Mohamed Mamdouh is a 30-year-old, visual artist from Alexandria, Egypt. With 10 years of experience, he specializes in street photography and visual storytelling. Recently, he has worked as a videographer and director of photography for various commercials.
