We are very excited to have the wonderful Phil de Bruin back with us. Phil has taught for various WCS operators around the country for 8 years, & runs his own thriving weekly class "Coast & Jam" in Leatherhead, Surrey. Phil has an obvious passion for WCS, which led him to gain GPDIA (Foundation & Intermediate) instructor status. He has been influenced by various dances styles including, Line, Jazz & Ballet. As a competent follower (NYSF Jill & Jack Champion) he has a solid understanding of the mechanics of the dance from both lead and follow perspectives. Expect to learn effortless and organic connection with interesting & socially leadable patterns, taught by a relaxed teacher who has strong empathy & relates to the challenge of learning a new dance.We are passionate about west coast swing and hope to grow the community in the area and support all clubs in the country.
You don't need to role balance for classes, but please encourage all roles to attend so we can get an equal spread. You don't need to book in advance but we encourage you to attend regularly to get the rhythm in your body's muscle memory. Flat shoes are advisable.
