Tangihanga

Kristyl Neho's one-woman show, Tangihanga, is a drama-comedy that runs for 60 minutes. The story centers on Jess, a loving daughter whose father, Karanipa, has just passed away. The play unfolds at the Marae as Karanipa's family and friends gather to mourn his loss.
Neho takes on the challenge of playing over 30 characters, showcasing the complex dynamics and rising tensions that emerge during the tangi. As secrets are exposed and family members grapple with their grief, the play explores themes of family relationships, identity, cultural traditions, and the crucial role of community during times of loss.
