Local Area Plans Hui

Hastings District Council is developing Local Area Plans for several central suburbs of Hastings.
These plans are place-based and aim to integrate all aspects of good urban design, with input from the local community to create vibrant, liveable neighbourhoods.

As part of this work, Charles Ropitini has drawn on the Te Aranga Design Principles to develop a cultural narrative for Karamū, including insights into how wai once flowed through central Hastings.
