We’re so excited to invite you to a special evening of food, music, and celebration as we launch Refugee Week 2025 and introduce the brand-new Flavours Without Borders Collective.
This new collective builds on the success of the award-winning Flavours Without Borders project. It brings together volunteer historians and creatives with lived experience of seeking refuge or migrating — to explore, document, and celebrate the rich stories of migration in Hastings.
💬 Our aim is to create a lasting, community-led archive that gives visibility to the histories of people who have made Hastings home, ensuring these stories are woven into the wider cultural legacy of the town and museum.
Going forward, the collective will continue to research and record local migration stories, sharing them with the public through exhibitions, events, and creative programming.
✨ We’re marking this new chapter — and the start of Refugee Week — with a joyful gathering full of connection, culture, and celebration.
🎶 There’ll be live music, delicious food, and a chance to meet the people behind the project.
