Op 25 juli is er de jaarlijkse herdenking van het Mirakel van Viversel. In 1317 begon op 25 juli immers een Hostie spontaan te bloeden, nadat die ontwijd was. Dat was het beging van eeuwen aan mirakels in Viversel en Herkenrode. Tot het Sacrament van Mirakel in 1804 verplaatst werd naar de Kathedraal. Daar wordt ze ieder jaar op 25 juli uitgesteld, en is er stille aanbidding om God te danken voor zijn Werkelijke Aanwezigheid in de Eucharistie. Iedereen is welkom om mee te bidden, elk met zijn intenties. Rond 17 uur wordt de zegen gegeven.
