Food as Medicine - Gut Health with Marty Ingram, ND

Join us for this hands-on exploration of foods and recipes to enhance your gut health. We will play with fermented foods, fiber, and healing foods for gut inflammation in this workshop. Hippocrates famously said, “All disease begins in the gut,” which is more true than you might realize! You will come away with a better understanding of how the digestive system works, and gain an appreciation for the fascinating microscopic army that guards your health. You will learn some home remedies to soothe minor digestive issues, and how to be proactive in giving your gut what it needs to stay healthy.

Marty Ingram, ND is a naturopathic doctor providing holistic care at Kalmia Wellness, located upstairs in the Black Creek Arts Center. She is passionate about helping people transform their health on a foundational level, so that they can thrive instead of just survive! She enjoys listening deeply to each person's story and putting all the pieces together to determine what foods, nutrients, herbs, and other natural remedies will best support their unique situation.
