This program is for all levels of training or understanding, as you can always increase your skill set while engaging in training, exercises, meditations, and working with the tools of the trade.
Ed Cleveland, recognized for his passion and training with these Gongs, has put together a program to teach the Harmonic value of the microtonality and Overtones that come from these high-quality instruments. Bronze offers something complex that you will not find in other instruments because the tones and vibrations do not follow a predictable pattern that the mind cannot make sense of.
We will be working with principles of Acousmatic Theory that do not follow the patterns of Just Intonation and Equal Temperament.
We will be working with a filter that allows information to the Auditory Cortex area of the brain, which also follows a Mindfulness protocol that encourages deeper listening skills. This is also where you are being tuned while you are learning to give this experience.
You will learn about Boundary Physics, which gives you the most fulfilling sounds of these gongs to help open the Relaxation Response System.
This can also improve your hearing while feeling the importance of microtonality while droning a simple harmony into the Gong Space.
You will learn about the pulse, wave, and form of the Gong in a wide variety of ways, merging your rhythm with the rhythm the gong takes on by itself, so you can work between the worlds, creating different meditative states.
Beginners welcome.
This class is for any level of Gong play, so come out and have fun learning more about the Gong.
