We will meet on August 17th at the formerly named Cedar Creek Campground and Marina located at 111 Canal Drive, Sea Level, NC, 28577

On August 17th the plan is to arrive anytime after 12pm noon and begin setting up and launching your boat and pitching your tent on the picturesque 'point' of the campground. The point is the portion of the campground closest to the Core Sound. The cost for camping is $35/Night (we'll be camping 1 night) and the cost to park is $5/day. To make a reservation, please call Holly at 252-646-6084. Let her know you'll be attending the 2025 OBX130 and need to camp 1 night (or stay on your boat if that's your plan) and you need parking for 5 days for your vehicle. For parking, all vehicles will be parked near the Commodore's Manor. Please inquire about the specifics of parking when you check in. Note, the campground recently was sold/changed hands (in 2024) hence the 'formerly mentioned above'. If you have any issues whatsoever, please contact me, I'm here to help.
At 7pm on August 17th there will be a Captain's Meeting where we will have a meeting of the minds, review the latest wind/weather conditions, and finalize our plans for the morning. As such, the plan below is tentative and subject to change in advance of the Captain's meeting. This Captain's Meeting is held on the 'Point' of the campground, centered on the picnic table area.
Day 1 August 18th
On day one we will leave for Cape Lookout Lighthouse. Given the favorable tide timing this year, plan to leave no later than 9am to be at the mouth of the Barden Inlet (The Cut) when the tide changes. This will afford us a much easier time traveling towards the lighthouse
Day 2 August 19th
On day two we will leave Cape Lookout for the 'Wade Shores' aka Shackleford Island
Day 3 August 20th
On day three we will head north and visit Alt-Camp in Davis or the Old Gun Club depending on conditions and prevailing winds
Day 4 August 21st
On day four we will visit Ophelia Inlet, Dump Island, or Portsmouth Island. Again this will depend on the wind and conditions.
