In this immersive writing workshop, you'll conjure steamy, supernatural stories featuring cryptid lovers—Mothman, fae, werewolves, merfolk, and more. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just exploring for fun, you'll get hands-on writing prompts, inspiration, and lots of tips to help your romantasy sizzle with suspense, mystery, and longing.

Bring pen, paper (or your digital equivalent), and all your longing, and blush for this interactive literary workshop. Suggested for guests ages 16 and above, though you know your young writer best; all writing and experience levels are welcome. Reading aloud/sharing is not required.
Workshop will be taught by published author/poetess Rissa Miller, a Serpent's Key regular. Rissa has been writing her entire life and her first story was published in a childrens' anthology when she was age 7. Rissa has worked as a Literary Coordinator at Baltimore's Poe House Museum, was an editor at The Baltimore Sun, and was formerly a Vice Pres in the Maryland Writers Association. It is her deep belief that words have the power to change the world.
