Ready to go where the wild things are? Bring your monstrous imaginings to life in our 'Make Your Own Cryptid craft class! This is the bizarre meets the adorable as you design and create your very own cryptid companion companions. From fuzzy to ferocious, the only limit is your own shadowy imagination!
We will explore several popular cryptids, including Mothman, during a quick talk. Then your creature will morph into existence in self-drying clay and be decorated in all its glory with accessories and other goodies.. This hands-on experience promises monstrous, magical fun for all who dare to join in... no special skills or experience required, we will teach you how to do it! ALL materials and tools are included, as well as a selection of decorations. Best for guests age 12 and up, but you know your child best.
Workshop is led by Blue Luna, Maryland-based fine artist and head of the Ellicott City Craft Coven. You may have seen Blue's magical-themed work in regional galleries, at shows like Baltimore ComiCon, or even on stickers at the Serpent's Key!
Rissa Miller is a Serpent's Key regular. She's going to be on-hand to share lore of your favorite local cryptids, as well as helping out with the project.

The Serpent's Key is Wheelchair Accessible, has an accessible restroom, ample seating areas, is service animal friendly, and features sensory lighting for those with photophobia or other light sensory concerns. Incense is used on occasion, but we're happy to hold off if you call ahead!
