Motherhood is fraught with challenges, complex emotions, and constant changes. Whether you are an expecting, new, or experienced mother, many of us are anxious, depleted, and in need of a safe place for processing and understanding. Join us for discussion, encouragement, and social support each week with Relief Parenting Founder, Krista Maltais AdvPCD/PDT(DONA), ALC, BS Family Studies.
Topics for discussion may include:
*Recognizing signs and symptoms of perinatal mental health complications and postnatal depletion
*Changing identities and relationships
*Local and virtual professional resources
*The difference between kind and reflective self-care practices
*The difference between depletion and depression
*Coping skills and overcoming anxieties
Partner perspectives and communication strategies
*Childcare challenges
*Exploring the important concept of Matrescense
If desired, your non-mobile infant is welcome to attend group with you. Once your child is mobile and/or if you prefer, on-site childcare can be reserved using a single session or membership pricing option. Advanced registration for childcare is strongly recommended!
NOTE: This is a social, peer-based, support group. Professional Mental Health Therapists and resources can be recommended.
