ANNUAL WATERFALL EMPIRE AMBASSADOR PAGEANT
Pageants are a historical part of the International Imperial Court System. They are held to allow members of the court to participate in a friendly competition, to help raise money and extend a representation of the court throughout the community. The Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara & Tri-Cities hosts the Waterfall Empire Ambassador Pageant and Entertainer of the Year Contest. If you are interested in running you must be a general member of the Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara & Tri-Cities, in good standing. Memberships are available for purchase at the cost of $10 and can be purchased at the event. Contestants must be 19 years of age or older.
Contestants will be scored in 4 categories:
1. PRESENTATION CATEGORY: SUGAR AND SPARKLE – Contestants are invited to step into a world of whimsy and wonder with looks that dazzle and delight. This category is all about first impressions — think pastel perfection, candy-coated fantasy, and glistening, sugar-sweet glamour. From gumdrop glam to shimmering sugarplum sparkle, contestants should showcase a look that’s playful, polished, and positively dripping in personality. Let your sweetness shine and your sparkle stun! (25 POINTS)
2. GOLDEN TICKET SHOWCASE - The stage is your chocolate factory and you've got the golden ticket — now show us the magic! Contestants must deliver a performance that’s bold, imaginative, and worthy of Wonka-level wonder. Whether it’s comedy, live singing, lip sync, dance, or something delightfully unique, the Golden Ticket Showcase is where creativity meets charisma. This is your chance to turn pure imagination into pure entertainment. Surprise us, captivate us, and make it golden. (35 POINTS)
3. GLAMALICIOUS! - Step out in head-turning elegance with a touch of decadence. Glamalicious is all about elevated elegance with a candy-flavoured twist — luxe fabrics, dramatic silhouettes, and just the right amount of sugar and sass. Serve runway-ready realness, but make it delicious. Think red carpet glam meets candy shop couture. The goal: be the fantasy, be the fashion, be the flavour. (20 POINTS)
4. OOMPA LOOMPA, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? - Just like those orange-hued philosophers, it's your turn to answer the big questions — pageant style! In this Q&A round, contestants face curious conundrums and moral musings worthy of a Wonka factory meltdown as we let our contestants shine beyond the sequins, responding to thought-provoking questions with insight, humor, and honesty. Give us sincerity, wit, and maybe even a rhyme as you show us the candy-coated core of who you truly are. (20 POINTS)
Requirements:
If you are crowned the winner, you are requested to represent our Court in a friendly and welcoming manner. At the request of the Monarchs, you will greet our guests and give them their ball programme at Coronation. Should you choose, you may apply to the Executive to present a fundraiser during your reign. These fundraisers may be joint or individual. Title holders report to the College of Monarchs for the Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara and Tri-Cities. A sash & jewelry will be provided at crowning for your use during your reign. You are asked to wear this sash & jewelry for all state events and court walks at Coronations. The Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara and Tri-Cities hosts a hospitality suite during Coronation weekend to welcome our out of town dignitaries. Title holders are requested to attend hospitality to welcome the out of town guests, schedules permitting.
Prizes:
1. A Waterfall Empire Ambassador sash will be provided for your use throughout the reign.
2. Waterfall Empire Ambassador will be provided with a piece of jewelry to be used throughout the reign. These are to be returned the night of your step down or within one week of your resignation/removal from the title.
3. Waterfall Empire Ambassador will receive a complimentary ball ticket for the Coronation Ball.
The newly crowned Waterfall Empire Ambassador will be responsible for any loss or damage to the sash and jewelry provided.
