For 15 years, we have been biking for Mike. This year, our ride is in partnership with Cycle Hamilton, recognizing that there are many reasons to ride, but what it really comes down to is that we’re all here for cycling.
Kick off Bike Month with us this year as we come together, celebrate cycling, and ask, “Who are you biking for?”
We can’t wait to ride alongside you and make this year our biggest yet.
The Mike Ride is a cycling event with routes for all ages and abilities. This includes a 5km and 10km family waterfront ride, a 25km “Cafe Ride” to Cafe Domestiique, a 50km “Classic Route” up to Ancaster and then down through Dundas, and a 75km “Joy Ride” all the way to Lynden and back through Dundas. All routes start and end at Collective Arts Brewing on Burlington St. E, where we gather for a celebration after riding!
How to participate:
1. Register to ride one of five routes either as an individual or on a team! Registration is free, and we accept voluntary donations with all proceeds supporting kids walking and biking to school.
2. Check in with the registration table at Collective Arts ahead of your scheduled start time (ranges from 8:30am for the longest ride and 11:00am for the shortest). Kids (and adults) can decorate their bike beforehand!
3. Enjoy your ride! The 25km, 50km, and 75km rides all include a rest stop at Cafe Domestiique. Foundry Street will be closed to make way for the live band!
4. When you return to Collective Arts, park your bike at the Bike Valet and stick around to connect with the local cycling community, join in on the kids activities, and grab a bite to eat while listening to live music with friends and family.
