Substitutions Workshop
The best way to become a more confident knitter or crocheter is to understand the different types of yarns available today. Once you know the basics, you will choose the right type of yarn every time. In this workshop we will cover choosing the right fibre; how to substitute yarn; and ways to mix yarns to achieve a completely new fabric.
This is a hands-on class where you will:
• get to taste test various yarn and fibres
• learn to change your yarns to create a successful project
• determine the weight of that mystery yarn
• learn why you should swatch, swatch, swatch
• experience the various colour tools available
• get ideas to help you create a completely new fabric
• You will walk away with many guides to aid in your future decision making and a greater knowledge of fibres, yarns, and the fabrics that they create
