A retired electrical engineer with a passion for self-sufficiency, Mark has developed low-cost solar systems using salvaged solar panels, second hand batteries from power tools and e-bikes, and reused components from the waste stream. His practical, hands-on approach shows how anyone can access reliable, renewable energy, without relying on the grid or spending thousands on commercial systems.
From his own solar-powered home setup to his mobile “Solar Barrow” demonstration unit, Mark’s work empowers people to understand how solar energy systems work and how to build one tailored to their needs, budget, and skills.
