Ruapuke South planting bee

Join Coastcare - Waikato, lovely Ruapuke locals & the Ruapuke Coastcare team as we work to restore the coast at south Ruapuke. This year we have ~600 backdune plants to plant near the wetland area, just off the road. It'll look stunning once they take off!

To protect the health of ourselves and our restoration sites, we ask that you arrive with clean footwear and equipment and stay home if you feel unwell.

Fingers crossed for sunshine! We'll have some spades available, but please bring a water bottle, your favourite spade and gloves if you want them and make sure to wear suitable clothing (long pants/gumboots).

Please note there's no cell reception at this site so take a careful look at the map before coming out and make sure to come to take Ruapuke Beach Road to south Ruapuke beach.
