Pride in Place: 17STRONG Neighborhood Champions
This program will recognize businesses, organizations, and nonprofits that actively care for their properties and contribute to the vibrancy of our neighborhoods. Whether it’s joining a clean-up event or simply keeping storefronts looking sharp, these efforts matter, and we want to celebrate them.
What’s in the works:
Quarterly recognition for businesses and nonprofits that go the extra mile
Window decals to proudly display their “Neighborhood Champion” status
Spotlights in city newsletters and on social media
Volunteer days or clean-up challenges for businesses to get involved
An easy nomination process so anyone can help identify who’s making a difference
One great example: With the 4th of July Parade around the corner, we’d love to see businesses along the route help make the area shine for the thousands of residents and visitors who’ll be in town. That’s exactly the kind of partnership this program aims to inspire.
