🌻 Make Your Own Scarecrow! 🌻
Join us for a family friendly event during the first week of school holidays hosted by Whāingaroa Environment Centre and Xtreme Zero Waste! This is for the young and young at heart to get creative. You don’t need to bring a child, but it may help!
Date: Wednesday 24 September 2025
Time: 10:30 am to 12:30pm
Venue: Stewart St Hall
Suggested donation: $10 per household or Timebank members can provide 2 timecredits
Each family or household build their own scarecrow
What to Expect:
• Creativity: Build your very own scarecrow for your garden using preloved materials!
• Family fun: Enjoy a hands-on activity together.
• Eco-Friendly: Experience some easy upcycling.
We Provide:
• All the materials you need, including old clothes, and timber. Thanks to Kaahu’s Nest and the Timber Yard at XZW.
• Tools and guidance to help you create a unique scarecrow.
• Fresh fruit to keep you energized!
Bring your creativity and some accessories to make your scarecrow truly one-of-a-kind.
