A dance class and a workout in one - what's not to love about Improvers Cuban Salsa?
This 8-week block course will build on the foundations covered in the beginner's course, with a focus on dancing for the social floor.
The course will cover partner-work, in individual form and as group dance - Rueda de Casino.
It is expected that those attending will be comfortable with the basics and able to have a simple social dance of Cuban Salsa.
These classes are rotational, so there is no need to bring a partner with you.
Course Dates: Tuesday evenings (6 May to 24 June), 8 weeks.
Time: 6.30-7.30pm
Venue: St James Church, 82 Nixon Street, Hamilton East
Parking: on the street.
What to wear: Lightweight clothing you can move easily in. Footwear that you can balance well in that isn't grippy, or heavy on the foot, aka not sneakers, stilettoes, or boots.
Please, no black soled street shoes as these mark the church floor.
Ladies, please remember to wear heel caps on your dancing heels.
Let us know if you need some; we have heel caps for purchase.
What to bring: A smile, a warm layer for after class, and a water bottle.
Cost: Casual pricing, $10 per person per class.
