About the event

Evelyn Dick
Sarah Farr is a writer and researcher who explores historical true crimes cases. She grew up in the U.K., moved to Australia in her 20s, then in 2005 relocated to Hamilton. It is here where she became fascinated with the city’s history: especially the story of Evelyn Dick.

Sarah will share with us her research about the socialite who is accused of murdering her husband and son in 1945. She has uncovered some very interesting details about this mysterious case!

We will try to hold this as a hybrid meeting, Zoom link will be added closer to the event.

Doors open at 6:30pm. Rather than the Noble Hall, this meeting will be held in the Sanctuary. At each of our meetings there is a brief period allotted to the business of the Society, followed by a speaker, or presentation on some aspect of local history or heritage. Afterward there are refreshments and conversation which play an important part in keeping alive the Community spirit. We hope to see you there!
