Dispatches Play Reading Series: Get Away

Join Same Boat Theatre on fourth instalment of our Dispatches Play Reading Series. This month, we'll be reading the new play "Get Away" by Hamilton playwright Jennifer Walton

Synopsis:
Jed and Eden, a young couple seeking a romantic getaway, mistakenly arrive at the wrong cottage, one already occupied by Mimi, a celebrated author from a bygone era. Unbeknownst to the young couple, Mimi is invisible to them, but she watches their every move, while using their relationship as inspiration for her writing and manipulating their actions to fit the increasingly absurd needs of her story. Through fast-paced antics and surreal twists, Get Away explores the farcical consequences of invisibility, deception, and the blurred line between fiction and reality.
