Body Movement for Latin Dance
This course focuses on how to move your body when dancing Bachata and Salsa.
No dance experience is needed.
The class is open to all levels of dancers and all ages.
This class focuses on technique, timing, and styling for the individual dancer. No partner is needed!
It is designed to complement our regular classes in Bachata, Linear Salsa, and Cuban Salsa.
Dates: Tuesday evenings, 1st July to 19th August - 8 weeks.
Times: 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Venue: St James Church, 82 Nixon St, Hamilton East
What to expect: a high-energy warm-up followed by 20 - 40 minutes focused on individual movement, technique, and styling.
10-30 minutes of putting the content learnt into practice through social dancing.
What to wear: Lightweight clothing you can move easily in.
Please wear shoes that you can balance well in.
Please no boots, stilettos, wedges, or super high shoes.
For this class, flats or low heels are preferable.
Guys, please, no black soled street shoes as these mark the church floor.
What to bring: A water bottle, a warm layer, and maybe a snack.
Especially those dedicated dancers among you, doing all 3 classes on Tuesday night :)
Cost: $10 per person per class, or buy a concession card and save!
8 x Classes = $60
16 x Classes = $110
24 x Classes = $150
Payment can be made on the day of attendance via cash or bank transfer.
