Thinking of joining the Hamilton Pride Committee?
At the AGM, you’ll be asked to speak briefly (around 5 minutes) about:
– Who you are
– Your skills and experience
– Why you want to join
– How you can support the committee's kaupapa
Here are the roles we’re looking to fill for the 2026 Hamilton Pride Committee.

Everyone has something to offer — we’d love to have you on board.
Treasurer:
Manages the budget, tracks spending, and ensures financial transparency for the committee.
Secretary:
Takes meeting minutes, handles admin tasks, and keeps our communications and records organised.
Fundraising Specialist / Grant Applicator:
Finds funding opportunities, writes grant applications, and supports fundraising efforts.
Social Media Specialist:
Plans and posts content, engages our audience, and keeps our online presence vibrant and active.
Graphic Designer:
Creates visual assets for events, promos, and social media that align with our kaupapa and vibe.
Web Developer:
Helps to Update and Maintain the website
tech used: Squarespace, HTML, Css, Javascript
Health Representative:
Advises on wellbeing, accessibility, and safety needs for events and community support.
Community Organisation Liaison:
Builds and maintains relationships with local orgs to strengthen collaboration and visibility.
Performer Networker:
Connects with queer performers and talent, helping book and coordinate entertainment for Pride events.
Stall and Food Liaison:
Organises kai and stallholder logistics for Pride in the Park, from bookings, Coms to layout support.
Security Liaison:
Coordinates with security providers during pride in the park to help ensure efficient and informed communication between Security and committee
Events Coordinator:
Oversees planning and delivery of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and inclusively.
Cultural Liaison:
Guides and ensures cultural safety and representation, especially for tangata whenua and Pasifika.
Pride Week Volunteers:
Helps setting up, packing down all Pride events during Pride week in 2026
