Color our World Young Artist's Series - Impressionism

HH Friends of the Library is excited to offer a limited Art Series for kiddos aged 9-14. This is a 6 session series where young artists will be introduced to a different art theme and technique each session. Age restrictions are firmly set for this series. Each class is $10 each and all supplies are provided.

Classes will be led by our Artist in Residence, Gianna Intrieri, a recent graduate of Moore Art & Design. Gianna will present a brief power point highlighting an art movement or various artists of a particular style, then lead students in creating their own masterpieces.

June 19th class - Impressionism Study in Acrylics.
In this two-hour art class, students will apply the techniques of finger painting combined with the style of impressionism to create an acrylic painting with a subject of choice. We will look at famous artists who have used the finger-painting technique, as well as classic impressionist paintings to gather inspiration for our very own masterpieces. Students should wear a smock or old clothes that they do not mind getting paint on! An 8x10 canvas and supplies provided. Max. 15 students

Registration and payment are required in advance for each class and booked as individual classes. Registration can only be done in person at the library for the classes and space is limited.
