Concert with the Pod Heads

Summer is here and it's time for a concert. Join Gulfport Arts and Heritage out under the stars for a melodious evening with Gulfport's own Pod Heads!

The music will begin at 7pm on the lawn of the Gulfport History Museum. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy. And be ready to get up and dance!

About the music: The Pod Heads (Berkeley Grimball, Tony Treadway, Michael Beck, and Jolie Annichiarico) play a folk/rock world beat fusion filtered through the strings of the unique sound of the Podharp (a unique instrument crafted from the seed pod of the queen palm tree). Grimball, who invented this musical marvel, has said, "When I first began learning to play the Podharp, I realized that you can't write an angry song on a harp and that every cover song will be taken to a completely different place." The Pod Heads perform many originals and covers by such artists as the Beatles, Police, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and O'Carolan.
