We're excited to announce the Haunted Hustle coming to Gulf Place Public Beach on Saturday, Oct. 18. Locals and visitors are invited to wear their best Halloween costume and participate in this horrifyingly fun event featuring a Haunted Hustle 5K, Fun Run, Witches on Wheels, and a live DJ. Proceeds for this event benefit the Dolphin Foundation for Education and Arts, who will also be selling pizza and refreshments, including beer and wine, on-site.
“We are excited to host the Haunted Hustle 5k, Fun Run, and Witches on Wheels,” said Holly Howell, City of Gulf Shores Fitness Coordinator. “This family-friendly event is great for all ages. We encourage everyone, no matter your fitness level, to come out and enjoy the night with us!”
🧹 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀
The Witches on Wheels Bike Parade kicks off the evening at 6 p.m. Witches and Warlocks are invited to jump on their brooms (bicycles will suffice) and parade on W. Beach Blvd. and the Town Green, throwing beads and candy to bystanders. The registration fee for the bike parade is $30 through September 30; beginning Oct. 1, the registration fee is $35, and race day registration on Oct. 18 is $40. All participants will receive a goody bag and event t-shirt.
🎃 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗻
The Fun Run will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will lap around West Gulf Place. Non-competitive goblins, this is the course for you. The registration fee for the fun run is $30 through September 30; beginning Oct. 1, the registration fee is $35; and race day registration on Oct. 18 is $40. All participants will receive a finishers medal, goody bag, and event t-shirt.
👻 𝗛𝗮𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝟱𝗞
The Haunted Hustle 5K will begin promptly at 7:10 p.m. Ghosts and monsters of all sorts are invited to enjoy an evening run on our USATF-certified course (certification number AL18053JE). The 5K course will begin and end in front of Gulf Place Town Green. Registration cost to participate in the Haunted Hustle 5K is $30 through September 30. Beginning Oct. 1, the registration fee will increase to $35, and race day registration on Oct. 18 is $40. All participants will receive a goody bag and event t-shirt.
“General admission to the Haunted Hustle is free,” Customer Service Supervisor, Suzy Maher said. “For those who do not wish to participate in the Haunted Hustle 5K, Fun Run, or Witches on Wheels, we still encourage them to come out in their favorite Halloween costume and enjoy spending time with family and friends, listen to our live DJ, and enjoy the festivities we have lined up beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Witches on Wheels parade is a must-see for all!”
