The City of Gulf Shores is proud to announce the release of ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฏ, ๐๐ช๐จ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ค๐ฉ, the first edition of a stunning pictorial history coffee table book that preserves, celebrates, and shares the communityโs story with residents and visitors alike.
Spearheaded by the City of Gulf Shores and published and curated by PV Publications, Inc., this year-and-a-half-long project captures Gulf Shoresโ journey from a small coastal town to a world-class destination โ while honoring the people whose dedication continues to define it.
Filled with historic photographs from private collections and archives, the book offers a rare glimpse into the past through first-hand accounts from residents and local leaders. Stunning scenic imagery captures the natural beauty of Alabamaโs Gulf Coast, while engaging narratives highlight beloved landmarks, cherished traditions, and the community milestones that have shaped Gulf Shores into the vibrant coastal town it is today.

To celebrate the release, a book launch event will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 4 p.m. at the Gulf Shores Museum. The public is invited to attend, meet contributors to the project, and enjoy light refreshments. A limited number of advanced copies will be available for purchase at the event, giving attendees the chance to be among the first to own this historic keepsake.
